How to book your Tour du Mont Blanc huts for 2027

On the Tour du Mont Blanc, the hard part is not the walking, it is getting the right nights. Here is how to approach summer 2027, using only information published by the huts and the official platform. When a date has not been announced, we say so rather than guess.

1. The official platform: montourdumontblanc.com

2027 bookings opened on 15 October 2026 on montourdumontblanc.com. The platform centralises huts, gîtes and hotels in the Tour du Mont-Blanc Wardens’ Association: any hiker can book there, with no membership. Lodgings not on the platform are still booked directly with each property, so allow time to contact them separately. For a date roundup (secondary coverage), see also Treksup.

The platform lets you book your whole itinerary in a single session. The standard rate is half-board (dinner and breakfast). Prepare your plan before you log in: dates, group size, fallback stages.

2. Book the scarce nights first

Start with the nights where you have few options, then build the rest around them. A full hut on an isolated stage can force you to shift the entire route. In a godude plan these are flagged as “critical” nights: the ones to secure first.

Keep a fallback for each stage (another hut, a gîte or a valley hotel) until everything is confirmed.

3. Cancellation: read the terms before you pay

According to the official FAQ and consumer terms (GTCS): if you cancel more than 30 days before arrival, 80% of the deposit (arrhes) is refunded; at 30 days or fewer, there is no refund unless optional cancellation insurance applies. Re-read the texts when you pay, as they can change.

4. Huts that are not on the platform

Some important lodgings do not use the platform.

  • La Flégère: not on the platform. Bookings open on 5 January 2027 at 00:01 Paris time, for a season from 12 June to 18 September 2027 (source: refuge-de-la-flegere.com). Note that one booking page on the site says “2026” for the end of the season, which looks like a typo; the homepage says 2027. Confirm with the hut before locking in dates.
  • Bonatti, Elisabetta, Lac Blanc: not on the platform. Their summer 2027 opening and booking dates were not announced at the time of our research. Watch their official channels and do not assume any date.
  • Les Mottets: cash or a French cheque only, no cards (source: lesmottets.com, rates page). Bring cash.

5. Watch out for Croix du Bonhomme

The Croix du Bonhomme hut (FFCAM) has been closed to the public since 17 August 2026 for works, with reopening announced for summer 2029 (sources: ffcam.fr, refugecroixdubonhomme.ffcam.fr).
